Most people are more nervous about the appointment than the procedure. So here is the whole thing, start to finish, with nothing left out.
Minute by minute
Parking, then the front desk
We are at 13916 Baltimore Ave in Laurel. Parking is free and directly out front, so you will not be circling the block.
The front desk already knows who you are and why you are coming. You will not have to explain your teeth to anyone at a counter. Ask for Bryan and they will take you back.
Your scans, in a private room
A dental assistant walks you through both scans. The 3D CT scan is painless. You sit still and a machine moves around your head for under a minute. The digital scan replaces the old putty impressions. Nothing goes in your mouth but a small wand.
This happens in a private treatment room, not an open bay and not a waiting area.
Dr. Syeda goes through your scan with you, on the screen
This is the part most people are surprised by. You see your own jaw on the monitor: where the bone is, where it is not, and what that means for you specifically.
She tells you honestly what is possible. If a full arch is right for you, she says so. If something smaller is the better answer, she says that instead. If you are not a candidate at all, she tells you that too, and where to go next.
She is also the person who would place your implants, and the person you would see at every follow-up afterward.
Your plan, in writing
Bryan sits down with you and goes through the exact cost of your plan, printed, on paper, for you to take home. One number, with everything inside it.
If payment plans would help, you see real monthly numbers, and checking your options is a soft credit check that does not affect your score. If you would rather not discuss financing at all, that is a complete answer and nobody will push it.
With your scan reviewed and your plan on paper
That is the visit. You know whether you are a candidate, what your options are, and exactly what each one costs.
Nobody here will push you to decide. The number we give you is the same number next month, so you can take it home and think about it.
You will never be without teeth. Not for one day.
In most cases we take out the failing teeth and place the implants in the same appointment, and you go home with teeth in. Your scan tells us whether that is right for you, and you will know that day.
What we will not do
People have told us what other consultations were like. Here is what this one is not.
- Ask you to decide that day. There is no expiring discount and no today-only price. It is the same number next month.
- Hand you off to a stranger. Your case belongs to two people, Dr. Syeda and Bryan, and you have one number for both.
- Call you from six different numbers. One number, ours, and you can tell us to stop at any time.
- Make you feel bad about your teeth. Nobody here is surprised by anything. Most people who sit in that chair have been putting this off for years.
- Bill you for the visit. The scans and the consultation are free whether or not you go ahead.
Two people own your case
You will meet the whole team, from the front desk to the dental assistants who do your scans. But your case has two constants, and they do not change between visits.
She reads your scan, plans your case, performs your surgery, and sees you at every follow-up. Over 3,000 implants placed and more than 500 full-arch cases.
The person who walks you through cost and payment options, and the person on the other end of the phone for the first week of healing, including at 9pm on day three.
You do not have to come alone
Bring your husband, your wife, your daughter, whoever helps you think. Big decisions are easier with a second set of ears, and most of our patients bring someone. It is an invitation, never a requirement, and nobody will use their presence to press you.
If something comes up
